7-Eleven/Chevron to Test Co-branding this Summer
20 Sites in Florida, Texas, California Selected

7-Eleven, Inc. said it is testing a co-branding opportunity with Chevron U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of ChevronTexaco Corp., selecting 20 7-Eleven and Chevron locations in Florida, Texas, and California to feature both brands in a test beginning this summer.

Plans call for the convenience store to offer Chevron-branded gasoline and nine Chevron sites to convert their convenience-store format to 7-Eleven.

Currently, there are 30 7-Eleven convenience stores in the U.S. and Canada that have been selling Chevron-branded gasoline for varying lengths of time and under a number of different arrangements. This summer’s test is a more integrated effort to better assess consumer acceptance of the combined offerings, explained the company.
