Heritage Propane Partners, L.P. has acquired the assets of Love Propane Gas, L.L.C., which serves over 800 customers in the York, South Carolina area.
Love’s founders, Paul and Melinda Norris, intend to relocate and pursue other interests in S.C.
“Paul and Melinda have built a quality business and Heritage is very pleased to add the customers to the Heritage operations in the area,” stated Bradley K. Atkinson, vice president of Corporate Development.
The acquisition is Heritage’s 66th since becoming a publicly traded master limited partnership in June 1996 and the 96th acquisition since the company’s formation in 1989. Heritage is the fourth largest retail marketer of propane in the United States, serving more than 65,000 customers from nearly 300 customer service locations in 29 states. Operations extend from coast to coast, with concentrations in the western, upper Midwestern, northeastern and southeastern regions of the U.S.
