The average price for all formulations of regular grade gasoline decreased 2.8cts to $2.666 gal for the week-ended Nov. 9, according to the Energy Information Administration.

The average price is up 44.2cts gal compared with the same week in 2008.

Gasoline is averaging the least in the Gulf Coast region and the most along the West Coast.

In the West Coast region, prices are 0.3cts lower on the week at $2.906 gal. The Pacific Northwest average is 0.2cts higher at $2.776 gal. City-wide, the Los Angeles average decreased 0.8cts to $3.021 gal while in Seattle, Washington, gasoline averages rose 0.3cts to $2.816 gal.

The Rocky Mountain average is down 0.1cts at $2.604 gal. Colorado averaged $2.576 gal, down 1.7cts on the week.

In the Gulf Coast the average was down 3.5cts at $2.528, and Houston decreased 2.3cts to $2.482 gal.

In the Midwest, prices shed 5.8cts at $2.614, 55.4cts more than the comparable year-ago period.

In Minnesota, gasoline dropped 4cts to $2.628 gal. In Ohio, the gasoline average tumbled 10.2cts at $2.553 gal.

Retail gasoline averaged $2.693 in Florida, down 2.8cts during the week reviewed. Central Atlantic states posted a 0.5cts decline in their average to $2.703 gal, with the New England region down 0.9cts at $2.690 gal. Overall, gasoline along the East Coast averaged $2.664 gal, down 1.2cts from the prior week.
