US Retail Gasoline DN 3.7cts, but 55.7cts above Year Ago


The average price for all formulations of regular grade gasoline decreased 3.7cts to $2.629 gal for the week-ended Nov. 16, according to the Energy Information Administration.

 

The average price is up 55.7cts gal compared with the same week in 2008.

 

Gasoline is averaging the least in the Gulf Coast region and the most along the West Coast.

 

In the West Coast region, prices are 1.3cts lower on the week at $2.893 gal. The Pacific Northwest average is flat at $2.776 gal for the week. City-wide, the Los Angeles average decreased 1.2cts to $3.009 gal while in Seattle, Washington, gasoline averages remained flat at $2.816 gal.

 

The Rocky Mountain average is down 0.3cts at $2.601 gal. Colorado averaged $2.547 gal, down 2.9cts on the week.

 

In the Gulf Coast the average was down 3cts at $2.498, and Houston decreased 3.4cts to $2.448 gal.

 

In the Midwest, prices shed 7cts at $2.544, 61.1cts more than the comparable year-ago period.

 

In Minnesota, gasoline dropped 4.5cts to $2.583 gal. In Ohio, the gasoline average lost 10.2cts at $2.451 gal.

 

Retail gasoline averaged $2.668 in Florida, down 2.5cts from the previous week. Central Atlantic states posted a 1.9cts decline in their average to $2.684 gal, with the New England region down 1.3cts at $2.677 gal. Overall, gasoline along the East Coast averaged $2.637 gal, down 2.7cts from the prior week.
