Domestic propane stockpiles dropped 2.9 million bbl to 65.5 million bbl for the week-ended Nov. 13, according to the Energy Information Administration.
This weekly report shows the year-on-year surplus narrowing to 5.5 million bbl or 9.2 percent.
Regionally, propane in the PADD 1 East Coast region rose 200,000 bbl or 3.9 percent to 5.1 million bbl, while stocks in the PADD 2 Midwest region declined 1.6 million bbl or 6.1 percent to 26.4 million bbl. Propane stocks in PADD 3 at the Gulf Coast dropped 1.4 million bbl to 31.7 million bbl. For PADDs 4 and 5, which include the Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions, propane stocks declined 100,000 bbl to 2.3 million bbl for the week under review.
