The average price for all formulations of regular grade gasoline increased 1cts to $2.639 gal for the week-ended Nov. 23, according to the Energy Information Administration.

The average price is up 74.7cts gal compared with the same week in 2008.

Gasoline is averaging the least in the Gulf Coast region and the most along the West Coast.

In the West Coast region, prices are 1.2cts lower on the week at $2.881 gal. The Pacific Northwest average is up 0.5cts at $2.781 gal for the week. City-wide, the Los Angeles average decreased 1.3cts to $2.996 gal while in Seattle, Washington, gasoline averages rose 0.7cts at $2.850 gal.

The Rocky Mountain average is down 1.7cts at $2.584 gal. Colorado averaged $2.528 gal, down 1.9cts on the week.

In the Gulf Coast the average was up 0.9cts at $2.507, and Houston decreased 1.7cts to $2.431 gal.

In the Midwest, prices added 3.8cts at $2.582, 83.2cts more than the comparable year-ago period.

In Minnesota, gasoline dropped 0.2cts to $2.581 gal. In Ohio, the gasoline average gained 13.8cts at $2.589 gal.

Retail gasoline averaged $2.657 in Florida, down 1.1cts from the previous week. Central Atlantic states posted a 0.7cts decline in their average to $2.677 gal, with the New England region down 0.5cts at $2.672 gal. Overall, gasoline along the East Coast averaged $2.636 gal, down 0.1cts from the prior week.
