Domestic propane stockpiles dropped 1.3 million bbl to 61.4 million bbl for the week-ended Dec. 4, according to the Energy Information Administration.
The supply drawdown narrowed the year-on-year surplus to 1.3 million bbl or 2.2 percent.
Regionally, propane in the PADD 1 East Coast region rose 100,000 bbl at 5.5 million bbl, while stocks in the PADD 2 Midwest region declined 800,000 bbl or 3.4 percent to 23.5 million bbl. Propane stocks in PADD 3 at the Gulf Coast dropped 400,000 bbl to 30.3 million bbl. For PADDs 4 and 5, which include the Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions, propane stocks declined 200,000 bbl or 9.5 percent to 2.1 million bbl for the week under review.
