US Retail Gasoline Average Up 0.4cts at $2.722 Gallon


The average price for all formulations of regular grade gasoline increased 0.4cts to $2.722 gal for the week-ended July 19, according to the Energy Information Administration, down from the May 10 18-month high at $2.905 gal.

 

The average price is up 25.9cts gal compared with the same week in 2009.

 

Gasoline is averaging the least in the Gulf Coast and the most along the West Coast.

 

In the West Coast region, prices are 1.8cts higher on the week at $3.062 gal. The Pacific Northwest average is up 2cts at $2.943 gal for the week. City-wide, the Los Angeles average inclined 2.4cts at $3.147 gal while in Seattle, Washington, gasoline averages added 2.1cts at $2.991 gal.

 

In the Gulf Coast the average was down 0.9cts at $2.555, and Houston decreased 2cts to $2.473 gal.

 

The Rocky Mountain average is up 0.6cts at $2.749 gal. Colorado averaged $2.646 gal, down 0.8cts on the week.

 

In the Midwest, prices inclined 2.1cts at $2.701, 34.4cts more than the comparable year-ago period.

 

In Minnesota, gasoline inclined 2.7cts to $2.676 gal. In Ohio, the gasoline average gained 2.6cts at $2.704 gal.

 

Retail gasoline averaged $2.612 in Florida, down 1.1cts from the previous week.

 

Central Atlantic states posted a 0.5cts decline in their average to $2.589 gal, with the New England region down 1.3cts at $2.725 gal. Overall, gasoline along the East Coast averaged $2.648 gal, down 1cts from the prior week.
