Domestic propane stockpiles increased 900,000 bbl or 1.7 percent to 52.5 million bbl for the week-ended July 16, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Supply is down 11.9 million bbl or 18.5 percent from the 64.4 million bbl level reported during the corresponding year-ago period.
Regionally, propane in the PADD 1 East Coast region remained flat at 4.0 million bbl, while stocks in the PADD 2 Midwest region gained 700,000 bbl at 23.4 million bbl. Propane stocks in PADD 3 at the Gulf Coast increased by 100,000 bbl to 23.6 million bbl. For PADDs 4 and 5, which include the Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions, propane stocks shed 100,000 bbl at 1.4 million bbl for the week reviewed.
